Heart Lake is not the first lake you see when you arrive. Follow the trail past Roger Pass Lake and follow to the ridgeline. From here, you will have a great view of the lake. Great fishing can be found on any aspect of the lake. It's wise to take into account the sun and, of course, wind. Lots of success using dries, worms, and leaches.
